You are just a few clicks away from making a positive change in local cancer care. Each year more than 7,000 people will be devastated to learn cancer has entered their family. By becoming a Cancer Champion today, you will be helping to provide them HOPE for the future.

Our youngest brother, Gordon Shields, passed away on January 17, 2014 at the age of 47.

Gordon lived over three years with osteo-sarcoma. He made sure his disease did not define him. He had a challenging job in government relations which he continued to work at until just 2 weeks before he died. He has a wife and 3 beautiful children who carry on his legacy as a terrific person who just did his very best with each day he was given.

Gordon loved golf
He was always a talented athlete but he really took pleasure in golf with his best buddies and his family throughout his adult life even when his health became such a challenge.

As Gordon’s three siblings, we want to honour our brother’s memory with this annual
event and have chosen the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation as the recipient of the charitable donations.
